Website is Offering a Reward for the Arrest of Ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair
27th Jan 2010
A website is offering a reward for the arrest of ex-prime minister of the UK Tony Blair it was created by George Monbiot, 47, a political activist who has a column in the Guardian Newspaper.
George says: "We must show that we have not, as Blair requested, 'moved on' from Iraq, that we are not prepared to allow his crime to remain unpunished."
The website http://www.arrestblair.org/ launched on January 25th 2010 just days before he was to give evidence to the inquiry into the Iraq war.
The website mentions that the citizen’s arrest must be peaceful and there must be no injuries to Tony Blair and those around him. Attempts to make an arrest will net you a quarter of the monies donated to the website which is around £9,000.
Advice on how to go about a citizen’s arrest is available on the Arrest Blair web site.
They are urged to loudly announce: "Mr Blair, this is a citizens' arrest for a crime against peace, namely your decision to launch an unprovoked war against Iraq. "I am inviting you to accompany me to a police station to answer the charge."
Good Luck to those attempting to arrest Ex-Crime Minister Tony Blair and let us know how you get on .
