Globalsoapbox.com is a site whose purpose is very clearly stated by its slogan “Bringing freedom of the presses back to the people”.
The site is geared towards allowing people to create content.
There are three content types, Editorials, News, Polls. Each content type features user voting, and a threaded commenting system.
The site has a built in messaging system, friends can share messages, and the system will message you when someone comments your content or replies to your comment.
One of the site categories is called “Site”, which allows the users to file comments, thoughts or complaints about the site.
Charity is a part of globalsoapbox.com’s mission. 10% of the profits are donated to charities as determined by the users.
The site provides profiles for the users, which feature a picture, a biography, stats about your usage of the site, and friends.
